Originally the Liberty Fire Co. No. 1 of Sinking Spring, the Western Berks Fire Department Station 2 is located at 836 Ruth St. in Sinking Spring Borough. This station currently houses Ladder 18, Engine 18-2, Utility 18-2, Marine 18-2, and Drone 18.
The department was organized and placed “in-service” on August 8, 2009, designated as Berks County Company 18, when the four legacy departments from four separate municipalities were consolidated into one comprehensive department.
