On 11/13/2023 at approximately 11:16am, the WBFD was dispatched to the intersection of Penn Ave & Sportsmans Rd for a motor vehicle accident. Crews arrived on scene and found a passenger sedan, that had been rear ended by a tractor trailer. The only occupant, the driver, was still in the vehicle, sustaining injuries. Personnel, utilizing hydraulic rescue tools removed both doors and the B-Post on the drivers side. This gave better access for patient care, and for removal.

On November 10 at approximately 12:30pm, the WBFD was dispatched to the 300-Block of Sportsmans Rd in South Heidelberg Township for a vehicle fire. Engine 18-1 arrived on scene, and reported an active fire in the engine compartment. A single handline was stretched, extinguishing the fire and stopping it from spreading into the passenger compartment.
