WBFD Responded to Over 1,300 Calls in 2024

In 2024, the Western Berks Fire Department responded to 1,386 calls for service. This is the highest number of calls the department has responded to in one year since its formation back in 2009. The WBFD would like to wish everyone a safe and healthy 2025!

The department was organized and placed “in-service” on August 8, 2009, designated as Berks County Company 18, when the four legacy departments from four separate municipalities were consolidated into one comprehensive department.
