Passing of Career Firefighter Steven Noll

The Western Berks Fire Department regretfully announces the unexpected passing of Career Firefighter Steven Noll. Steve suffered a medical emergency while off duty in the early morning hours of March 2, 2025.

Steve was hired by the WBFD in 2012 as one of the two first Career Firefighters within the department. He was an advocate for always bettering yourself and highly valued training opportunities inside and outside the fire service. He was very active within the firefighting community as an instructor, sharing knowledge, and helping agencies bring training opportunities to their departments.

Steve was also a longtime volunteer firefighter with the Central Fire Company of Laureldale, an avid softball player, and a graduate of the Bucks County Community College and Penn State University. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Noll family during this difficult time.
