We are back for our third and final contest with the chance to win a WBFD T-shirt! To participate, comment on the post with your guess to the question below, multiple “answers” by the same person will disqualify you. This contest will go until Friday at 8pm, the closest (above or below) or exact answer will be selected as the winner. In the case of multiple identical answers the first to comment that answer will be selected. The winner will receive (1) WBFD T-Shirt in any size they wish, child or adult. This morning shortly after 1:15am Engine 18-2 was dispatched to assist Cumru Township Fire Department with a residential structure fire in the 400 block of Wyomissing Road, in Cumru Township. Engine 18-2 arrived on scene and crews assisted with fire suppression, overhaul, and ventilation in the structure. Western Berks Fire Department

On January 15, at approximately 1:12pm, Engine 18-2 was dispatched as automatic aid to assist the Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services for an accident with one person still trapped in the vehicle at the intersection of Fritztown & Chapel Hill Roads. Hydraulic rescue tools were utilized to remove both the front and rear doors on the drivers side, and also the center support post. Once the patient was extricated and removed from the vehicle, Western Berks Ambulance Association started patient care and transported for further evaluation.
