Thank you for everything you do for our community.

Thank you all for a great job

Thank you for your quick response We live right up the road and had no idea what he was up to after his shooting spree earlier in the evening. Not even 10 min after you all left he shot once and then again 3X at 4AM All of us in this area just never know what to expect from him. Thank you again!

Great job

EXCELLENT WORK!

Thank you WBFD. What happened on Penn Ave in West Lawn near Redner’s around 1:45pm today? Never seen so many emergency vehicles in one place at one time in my life! Also if you came and took care of the almost dead raccoon in front of my house this morning thank you again. I called 911 before I left for church and when I got home from church the almost dead raccoon was gone. I don’t think he left by himself.

On 02/28/2023 at approximately 3:42pm, the WBFD and Rescue 85 from the Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services were dispatched to 3000Block of Paper Mill Rd in Lower Heidelberg Township for a motor vehicle accident, with possible fire. As crews arrived, they found two vehicles, with one off the road and down an embankment with one occupant confined. Due to the instability of the vehicle because of its resting spot, rescue struts and a chain with come-a-long were used to secure and stabilize it. Crews then utilized hydraulic rescue tools to remove both passenger side doors and the B-post, allowing access for Western Berks Ambulance Assn Medics to start patient care and then removal from the vehicle.
