Ladder Company | Western Berks Fire Department

Ladder 18 is a 2016 Pierce Velocity 105' Aerial with a 500 gallon tank and a 2000 gpm pump with CAFs. It carries 196 feet of ground ladders, 500 feet of 5" supply hose and over 1000 feet of initial attack lines. It is capable of delivering 8 fully equipped firefighters to the emergency scene. Ladder 18 is currently housed at Station 18-2 in Sinking Spring Borough.

The department was organized and placed “in-service” on August 8, 2009, designated as Berks County Company 18, when the four legacy departments from four separate municipalities were consolidated into one comprehensive department.
